S.A.G. Awards Red Carpet Recap

In a surprise turn of fashion events last night, a woman in pants was the best dressed! I know right? Courtesy of Elie Saab, Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne wore a beaded to death, cream colored pant suit that was simply EVERYTHING. In a world were this is the last thing on a ladies mind to wear, this was very refreshing.
Lea Michele is showing that she is only a high schooler on screen and all woman is real life. She wore a Versace gown that showed every inch of leg that she has! It was fabulous and she has been on a winning streak as of late. Sofia Vergara stuck to what she knows best and kept it super sexy in a fuchsia Marchesa gown, also worn by Viola Davis whom looked as if she was fresh from heaven. Her makeup was perfection and she won on the carpet as well as inside! Zoe Saldana who also looked angelic in white, wore couture Givenchy with a built in blinged out necklace and beaded sleeves that required little to no jewelry. I was impressed with the stars last night,not many failures to report!

Happy Birthday Alicia Keys!

It seems like just yesterday when this beautiful newcomer came on the scene and shook the whole game with her trademark braids,flawless face and gorgeous voice. Fast forward 10+ years and A Keys is a 31 yr old mother and wife to Swiss Beats. She has shed the braids but still turns heads when she touches a carpet. Her charity work for Africa's Aid epidemic, Keep A Child Alive is making a major difference where its needed the most. She continues to wow us with those pipes and those crazy fingers on the piano. She has remained graceful and classy in the face of an industry that tries hard to bring you down. For that we salute Brooklyn's own Alicia Keys on another year!

Versace Couture Paris FW

In one word...WOW! Not many people can pull off the looks that Donatella has going up the runway. No reason not to wish that we didn't have the body to pull off these over the top, super luxurious looks. The Versace staple color of gold was quite evident as well as bright orange and green. The collection only had 16 pieces to it but, this was a CLEAR case of less is more! This is Hauteness at its finest. Clap for her!

Christian Dior Couture Paris FW

The mega brand that is Christian Dior pulled out all stops to bring over the top jaw dropping looks this year for their Paris Couture collection. They stated off with full, A-Line skirts with sheer overlaying. The line then progressed to a more ladylike cut that included knee lenght sheaths in variations of nudes and purples. Then came the good part...the evening gowns. This literally made my heart skip at every click of my mouse! Spectacular isn't the word! The fullness of the skirts appeared to be as heavy as the models wearing them. Piles and piles of sheer laying in deep pleats with "to here" long trains that were fit for Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz and Demi Lavato alike. The final piece was by far my favorite. It was a bright red, strapless gown with a super full skirt that was TO DIE FOR!!! Don't take my word for it, take a look yourself,you may need oxygen though! FIERCE OVERLOAD!

Heidi and Seal...the way they were

I woke up to major heart ache this morning. Why you ask. My favorite celebrity couple has decided to call it quits after 7 beautiful (to me at least) of marriage. This is one of the more shocking breakups cause I genuinely thought they had a special connections. He adopted her first daughter from a previous relationship. They renewed their vows every year. They looked like they had it going on. Since red carpet appearances may be a thing of the past for them now,lets take a look down memory lane when things were sweet. *Tears*

Golden Globes Red Carpet Hauteness

Thanks to the fashion gods,the return of high glamour and glitz was all over last nights Golden Globes red carpet last night. The stars pulled out all stops to turn heads and bless us fashionistas. Mermaid style dresses dominated last night to show curves galore! Paula Patton blinded us with beauty in a canary yellow Monique Lhuilliar mermaid stlye gown. Sofia Vergars followed suite in a beautiful blue gown in the same cut. Best dressed for me was hands down my girl crush, Charlize Theron in her staple red carpet designer,Dior. Salma Hayek wore Gucci (surprise),but she sparkled none the less. Zac Posen blessed both Reese Witherspoon and Elle MacPherson who by the way blew my freaking mind with her gorgeousness!! I mean this girl must have mother time on lock cause she still looks 20 something seriously. Other designers were Versace worn by Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman who have both redeemed themselves after some past failures. Lots, I mean lots of winners last night. Take a look at my top picks.
