These Roots are Intentional!

There is a new trend in hair coloring that has taken a clue from runway fashions...OMBRE! If you don't know what this is, its the gradual progression from your natural hair color into a more vibrant color about three quarters the way down. To the untrained, unfashionable eye, one may think that the diva is growing her color out and needs to put on a hat. But no no no, that is so not the case! With coloring, you can highlight it, low light it, do full on color, so this is a nice new way to incorporate color in a different way. I for one cant wait to get my 18' back in and rock this new trend through the summer. Take a look at some celebrities that rock this look effortlessly! Hauteness!!

My Current Obsession: Tribal Prints

I can not, repeat can not get enough of this funky trend! I am seriously co-co for tribal prints right now. I think it stems from the variations that this print comes in and the different ways you can rock it! You can be bold and sport a daring, mini dress for a night out with the girls. Or, you could just add subtle hints of this trend by way of a funky clutch or a fierce pair of shoes. When wearing this trend, you want to make sure that the rest of you ensemble isn't too busy, and make this print the focal point. This is a great way to incorporate another trend, color blocking into your look if your rocking a tribal shoe, purse or other accessory. This is a trend that anyone can partake in at any age and still look appropriate! I love, love, love this trend. I have included a few pictures of some hot tribal injections! Stay Fierce!!

What's in a Zipper?

On this day 132 years ago, the inventor of the zipper was born. His name was Gideon Sunback from Sweden who migrated to the U.S in 1905. It wasn't until he was working for a company that specialized in the C-curity fastener, which proved unsuccessful because it often separated, that his genius kicked in to full swing. It was in 1914 that the metal zipper that we have come so accustomed to was invented. Sure this is a second nature piece to our everyday wardrobes but could you imagine life without it? So today, as you get dressed, remember this little fashion history tid bit as you mosey throughout your fierce day! Smoochies!

Alexander McQueen Pocket Damage

This pump is a force to be reckoned with! Not only does it have this funky 5 inch curved heel, but is accented with this fish scale print that lined with blue suede and purple satin. Now when have you seen those two fabrics combined together and look hot...I'll wait! Anywho, much like anything by McQueen, these things are gonna set you back a nice chunk...$1,155.00 to be exact...So I just marvel from afar! LOL

If Money were No Object

Even in death, McQueen is still managing to shake up the fashion world with out of this world hotness that can't be matched. Today's splurge object is in the form a knuckle clutch that runs a cool 2,480.00!! I know right! It is soo freaking cool and that knuckle clutch trend is everything right now! Lets just disregard the fact that you cant get more than a tube of lipstick in this tiny thing and just focus on the HAUTENESS!

Look of the Day: Rihanna

This chick can do no wrong in my book when it comes to fashion! She is a risk taker and isn't afraid to try anything once. She proved that once again last night, as she stepped out in a pair of pajamas by designer Emillo Pucci. Yep pajamas. Now I couldn't see any other celebrity pulling this look off, especially on a red carpet, but she does it with total confidence! She paired the look with minimal jewelry and a nice clean sandal. I also love that she has the black hair back too. Hand claps all around for this Fierce fashionista!! LOVE IT!!

Boxing Kitten Collection

I am currently going through a phase where, tribal prints and cobalt blue just send me over. So I was delightedly surprised when I came across this collection by Maya Lake. She says her collection is inspired by a combination of a Civil Rights Activist and a Black Panther Party woman...so you can imagine that the collection is pretty powerful! The collection is made up of very colorful prints that range from Aztec,Mexican and African prints. She often mixes unexpected prints and pairs them with bold oxfords for a "round the way" girl look. The collection is very transitional from day to night as well as gives you lots of leeway to layer on you basics.
The best part about this collection is that it is VERY reasonably priced and in reach for most women. I took the liberty of posting some of my favorite pieces but feel free to check out her site for yourself! http://boxingkitten.com/
