O.L.L.I.E Fashion Launch Party

Over the weekend, I had the great pleasure of attending an event put on by the good people at Elite Nashville. Local designer and mentor to kids, Ty, released his t-shirt line called O.L.L.I.E This stands for Only Live Life In Excellence. Cool huh? The line was birthed out of his need to give back to under privileged kids who wouldn't otherwise have. The idea came from him wanting his kids, who do skateboarding, to have all one uniform look, so he coupled that with a drive to help them, and that is O.L.L.I.E.! Proceeds from the line go towards summer programs, field trips just to name a few!
I particularly have a soft spot for giving back as well as a passion for fashion and Ty is killing both sides! He even presented Ramadan with a plaque to show his appreciation and support towards the line! This guy is awesome I tell ya! The line is available at Elite Nashville and on the website ollielifestyle.com
Do yourself a favor and support a positive cause. Giving Is Fierce!

Me in some sneakers...who woulda thunk?

So in my quest to find a fierce pair of sneakers, I stumbled upon these DOPE Creative Recs. I will be the first to admit that I am not a sneaker head but, I have always loved this line for the fellas. I thought I would give them a shot cause their track record is good for me.
I found these very casual, but still fierce sequins joints that grabbed me and didn't let go. They are grey with the sequins so it makes a dull look, pop! I was in love with them from day one! I have always prided myself on being able to rock a 6 incher 7 days a week but, these babies are introducing me to the more comfortable side of being FIERCE!

Oscars Red Carpet

Tonight was THE night for red carpet fashion and the stars did not hold back. The carpet was full of the best designers fresh off the runway and the windy LA weather didn't stop the show of skin. Angelina showed legs for days and Jennifer Lopez, in Zuhair Murad had a wardrobe malfunction her V neck was so low! Shailene Woodly from the Decendents, redeemed herself from an epic fail from the Golden Globes in a sleek and simple Valentino gown. Michelle Williams wore red again which let me down cause she just wore the same color for the Golden Globes. However, she says it was coral but it didn't look that way on TV. George Clooney's girlfriend of the moment, Stacy Keibler was absolutely STUNNING and one of my best dressed in a Marchesa. It was golden gown with a one shoulder draping, and a huge gathered rose on the opposite and was completely fitted everywhere else.
Jessica Chastain from the Bridesmaids, wore a statement, classic Alexander McQueen that was totally noticeable. The Help's Octavia Spencer, whom also took home an Oscar in her Tadashi Shoji gown that accented all her curves and she represented the "real woman" nicely tonight. Now....to my best best best dressed gals of the night...Gwenyth Paltrow in the white dress with a floor length cape by Tom Ford!!!! GORG!!! And Mila in Elie Saab...my heart cant take it!! These women were breathtaking!!! All and all, lots of winners and a great way to end awards season! HAND CLAPS ALL AROUND!! FIERCE!

Purple Whale by Scooby R.I.P.

Nashville suffered a MAJOR loss over the weekend with the passing of Nashville staple, and 101.1 The Beat DJ Curtis "Scooby" Senior. Nothing can prepare you for such a great void as the city now feels. He was a bright light that was adored in the city, and hands down a beautiful spirit. Although no longer with us, we can all capture a piece of him to hold on to forever. Bexclusives.com was in the mist of designing a line for him at the time of his passing and in keeping his spirit alive, you can purchase is Purple Whale t-shirt for only 10.00 today! Proceeds from the sales are going back to Scooby's family as well. This is a 24 hour sale that ends at 8pm tonight so I would recommend getting yours NOW! I got mine already. Although we will all miss his laugh, his positive and comical nature, lets make him smile by getting our shirts to rep our boy SCOOOBYYYYY!!!!! R.I.P.

Donna Karen F/W 2012

In one word..menswear! This collection is all about strong, masculine looks with a feminine twist. Mini top hats and fedoras was a staple piece for all of the looks as well as strong silhouettes and deep, plunging necklines. Pointed shoulders make this look very pulled together and structured. The color palatte was that of mostly black and dark charcoals with injections of red, bronze and white that made the collection pop. Sheer sleeves and deep pleating across the bust line made the masculine looks appear very feminine. The balance of soft and hard was done very nicely. I love love loved this collection and it has me excited for what's to come for Fall! Fierce!
