Spring 2011 Trends

After such a harsh winter filled with snow storms, drastic ups and downs, school closings and such....I am welcoming Spring with open arms! With the change in weather comes changes to your closet. With that being said,lets touch on some accessible trends that you can incorporate into your daily lives. What you need to know is that there are lots of great options that I am particularly excited about including the use of bold bright colors,tribal prints, lace, florals, as well as menswear. All easy to apply and can go from day to night just like that.
First up my favorite, bold hues. This trend gives you an excuse to pull out all of your favorite crayola favorites in the form of high waisted shorts,pencil skirts,flowy blouses and blazers. Currently i am on the hunt for a fierce red blazer. I see me rocking it with any and every thing til the summer heat wave hits. My favorite target colors for this trend are red,blue,yellow,blue, electric blue and bright pinks and purples. Keep the look sleek by opting for a slim fitting. I picture something loose fitting making you look slightly comical rather than the fierce goal. Don't be afraid to combine multiple colors together like a yellow pencil skirt and an blue silk blouse which also works for day time wear. Just one tip, keep the makeup muted as your wardrobe says enough. The combinations are endless and this is such a fun look that adds lots of punch to your otherwise dull closet. Have fun, channel your inner creative beast and forget what they say!
















Lace is such a delicate look that insist that one is pure, Innocent, and without fault. Well not so much this time around. Lace can be used as sexy accent to an otherwise plain look adding dimension and depth. I like to add add lace as a final punch or as slight peek a boo under a deep v-neck sheath or blouse. This can be a very alluring look but can also be worn in an otherwise professional atmosphere if applied correctly. Don't go overboard if at work, just a lil something like a lace cardigan or a lace cami under your blouse.

Lastly today, lets touch on another Spring trend close to my heart,Florals! This look can be worked in the form of a full A-Line skirt, sheath,pencil skirt,maxi or the infamous Freakem Dress. This look allows you to rock a full range of shoes in multiple colors and stlyes from the classic stiletto or go Bohemian with a natural toned wedge heel. My fav way to wear this is probably the Maxi dress because you can eat as much as you want at the family BBQ's while still being comfortable and in style. Don't forget your slimwear though!!



















So I only touched on three of the hottest trends that I think my readers can benefit from but there are others that may suit your fancy.
