On this Saturday there is going to be a JavaFierce approved event that I want to put out there for my fellow fashionistas. Elite Nashville boutique is showing its appreciation to its customer by having a fun event at Nashville's Jazz and Jokes. Its a daytime event that is sure to bring out Nashville's best! It going to be hosted by the Keyshia Dior whom has her own lipstick line that is super hot! The line specializes in bold,vibrant, look at me colors that are all the rave right now! Also co-hosting is Black Rob who is sure to keep the party hype. This is a day event that will take place from 1-5pm. So ladies pull out your highest heels and fellas, no t-shirts, show us what you got for a change! This event is FREE to all,you just have to go to Elite Nashville and pick up passes. Digging for Gems, Forever 21 style

So as I'm in Forever 21 for some feather earrings for my daughter, I found something I was preparing to spend a grip on...an electric blue blazer!! I'm going through a faze where blazers are my thing and I'm on the hunt for every color I think I can werk! So when I came across this one,I was giddy with excitement. Fashion does that to me. And the fact that it was just 30 bucks,oh yes, I was winning.
This is something you don't have to feel guilty about cause its a very versatile piece that can take you all through Fall with various looks. And as I always have said people,penny pinch on trends and invest in classics. But this baby here could be something that sticks around for a while.

Miss Universe Miss Angola

So the beautiful, gracious Miss Angola won for Miss Universe and its a major accomplishment since this is the first for an African country. She is fresh faces, fierce regardless of the criticism that she is catching from Miss France.(HATER!) I wanted to shine light on her cause with all the negativity, Simply Fierce Fashion is a place for positivity on all things fierce. Clap for her!! She's Gaw-gous!!

Herve Leger by Max Azria Spring 2012 NYFW

Known for their signature bandage style,painted on dresses,Max Azria kept with the magic that has kept them on top again for this Spring. Although highly recognizable,they managed to infuse some tribal prints and fringe into the collection to keep it fresh. I love that idea cause tribal is my favorite print ever! It has so many colors that can go with so much. Anywho,back to the collection,my favorite piece was a nude color mini that had knots for days all over. I did a double take and I'm sure anyone wearing this will garner the same effect. Fabulous collection, but what did you really expect?

Elie Tahari Spring 2012 NYFW

International looks combined with menswear inspired looks were standout pieces for this fashion heavy hitter. Lots of deep v-neck looks coupled with wide belts as well as the ever present knee length, Egyptian like sandal that keeps popping up everywhere. That look is a stand out trend for next Spring. I really appreciated how this label grew to include strong masculine pieces,bold colors,then evolved to heavy metallic, to soft flowy gowns. Diversity was on 10! I loved this collection so much! J.Mendel Spring 2012 NYFW

Even though New York Fashion week wrapped yesterday,I'm still pouring over all the fashion that the designers overwhelmed me with! J.Mendel brought it in a major way! He had a collection of both bold prints and beautiful stark white from head to toe. I'm particularly fond of the use of fur in the collection as well as the symmetrical cuts in the dresses with the shorter length in the front,and long in the back. Lots of unexpected uses of color and tons of gowns that work for the upcoming awards season. There is something for everyone here!

Adventures at Nordstorm

So today Nashville fashionista's got their dose of fabulousness at exactly 10am today when Nordstorm opened its doors! Upon walking in, I noticed the specialty boutiques from Gucci and Chanel. There was no designer left untouched! Everyone from Jason Wu, Dres Van Noten, Alice and Olivia as well as more well known front runners like Roberto Cavalli and Marc Jacobs. The store is two stories, with the first level being my fav. Why you ask? That's where the shoes, bags and sunglasses are!!
Particularly my favorite was a pair of Tom Ford glaseses, Jeffery Campbell pumps and a red YSL clutch...Life Changing.
