Alicia Keys has finally let the "cat out of the bag" and confirmed reports that she is indeed expecting a baby with fiance' Swiss Beats. Lots of behind the sense drama with this couple but none the less, I am happy for them. Here she is at her annual Save a Child charity event that she puts on every year in a very full and feathery Dolce and Gabbana dress that is very flattering for her growing figure in a cute tea lenght. The spiky, sparkly pointy toe pump makes the look more fun and festive.These shoes made my heart skip a beat! She looks as if she is absolutely glowing and it looks good on her I might add. FAB MAMA!!!

Sex in the City Movie Premiere

Last night the glamor gods were definitely shining on Radio Hall where the premier of the cult favorite took place. Hands down Sarah Jessica Parker out shined everyone in a FREAKIN STUNNING canary yellow Valentino gown and she was just a vision!! I loved how on all the pics she kept the light chiffon fabric flowing in the wind for that diva effect. There were lots of other stunners like Whitney Port and Ashanti,who's look seemed a little too rock and roll for the evening but she still looked pretty. Jessica Love Hewitt's body is BANGIN while Wendy Williams kept it simple in a LBD that she said she got for 20.00 bucks at WALMART!!!!....her shoes did ALL the talking for her! They were Giuseppe Zanotti.Gayle King went bright and season appropriate, with a yellow, white and blue multicolored dress paired with yellow heels that looked age appropriate as well as cute and fun. I only wished my Ustream was working last night while the premiere was going on last night but hey....we got pics...check em out!PeAcE!!!

Look of the Day:Ms. Jackson if ya Nasty!

OK so I'm loving this new do on Janet Jackson. She reportedly cut it off for a new Tyler Perry movie. Whatever the reason,its working! This is a look that I haven't seen this diva rock before and what other time to turn over a new look than in the hot summer months. Also,this grey sheer number with the sexy bra showing underneath is also steaming hot! I love the draping on the shoulder and the metallic heel and minimal jewelry. The chunky bracelet pairs well with the whole ensemble adding a bit of flare and edge. Oh yeah she is mos def in CONTROL! FIERCE!!!

A Vision in Blue!

Our first lady looked stunning last night at the State Dinner honoring Mexico. She has to be the best dressed first lady that our country has ever seen hands down! Well, the designer of this dress is again Peter Soronen,whom she has worn three times prior at other major events. This is a beautiful one shoulder number that is three tiers of chiffon and silk. The changed hairdo works well on her as does the body shimmer that she has working here! She's glowing haute glammit! Also,peep her sprucing up her man before they head out into the spotlight...so adorable,I just love those two!!

Cute Couple Alert

So...Ludacris has this new girlfriend who is a mystery to the whole blog world because he is generally private and she kinda came from nowhere. This is where I come in...he opened up for the Black Eyed Peas concert couple months back and I was able to get backstage and hang out with the DTP crew before the show. This was Valentines Day weekend and Lo and Behold,she was definitely in tow with her man. I actually met her,her name is Fab (as she is),she speaks with a beautiful accent as if from the islands possibly and is very,very cool. We enjoyed Luda's set together and she is very approachable and sweet! We even hugged when we departed! This is them two at The World Music Awards doing what they do best....looking "FAB". They are soo cute together,I hope it last! *crossed fingers*

Cannes Film Festival Winners

Now that my previous post got all the flops out of the way,lets get to the stars who sparkled! There were lots of glamorous gowns to go around. Eva Longoria stood out as one of my favorites in a Elie Saab short mini dress that was stunning! Then she wow'd us again with a super fabulous Emilio Pucci white gown with the longest,rufflie-est train that took an assistant to keep it picture perfect all night. Lots of other winners like Salma Hayek in Gucci and Helen Mirren who makes 60 something look like something I've never seen before! OMG can we say,she is my physical idol! GEEZZZ!

Cannes Film Festival Flops

now I dont normally litter my blog with nonsense but this year,it seems to be lots of it at Cannes. While Cate Blanchett looks like someones grandmother, Kate Bekinsale looks like her dress got caught in a shredder,I was disappointed with some of the looks. Thats saying alot because this is an event where you go hard or go home,your reputation is on the line here! Check out some of the losers of the night...fashion wise of course!

Would YOU Wear it ?

So as we fashionistas brace ourselves for the Sex in the City 2 premier in three weeks,more pictures are coming out of the jaw dropping fashion that we have to look forward to.Most recently,a picture of Carrie,my bad Sarah Jessica wearing a turban. Since part of the movie is set in Dubai,it only seemed fitting..get it,fitting?haha Anyway....upon a little further review,that look isn't half bad! I mean this isn't gonna be something that everyone should try, but I think if you have an oval face with long locks,it looks do-able. I kinda envision myself with 18 inches of hair billowing in the wind with a wispy bang with this look. You think you could do it?

New Mom's belly blasting

Since its Mothers Day, I figured I'd make a day out of ways moms can see themselves. If you have ever went through the trials of pregancy,most women have had a little excess bulge that the bundle of joy left behind. Since nobody wants to invest in a whole new wardrobe,I researched a few ways you can work off that mid-section so that you can get back to looking FAB in no time(with dedication of course)!

The Bicyle Crunch Excercise
Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground.
Put your hands beside your head.
Bring your knees up to about a 45-degree angle and slowly go through a bicycle pedal motion.
Touch your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee.
Breath evenly throughout the exercise.


The Captain's Chair Exercise
Start with legs dangling and slowly lift your knees in toward your chest.
The motion should be controlled and deliberate as you bring your knees up and return them back to the starting position



Abdominal Crunch on an Exercise Ball

Sit on the exercise ball with your feet flat on the floor.
Let the ball roll back slowly and lie back until your thighs and torso are parallel with the floor.
Contract your abdominals raising your torso to no more than 45 degrees.
To work the oblique muscles, make the exercise less stable by moving your feet closer together.

Happy Mother's Day Edition

My grandmother was one of the most fashionable women I've ever known. When I look back on old photos of her,her style was classic and effortlessly sophisticated. Its looked so easy to her.I like to think I inherited some of that from her.Honestly one day isn't enough to give praise to all the women who sacrifice so much to be a positive example our children can look up to one day. Since its only national recognized one day a year,I'm going to highlight some of my favorite fashionably mothers.
