Shoe of the Day
This is one of my easiest and most fun things to write about because shoes are a true love to me! Today we are channeling Gwen Stefani in the way of her FAB L.A.M.B. wool lace-up bootie that is just right for this time of year. This is also a very versatile look with the two tone Brown and Cognac that can add pop to an otherwise dull outfit. The wool trimming adds texture while keeping those ankles warm and fuzzy.

Touch Screen Gloves Yessss!
I have noticed something in the way of fashion that is really really missing from my life! With the change in the weather going from cool to down right frigid,to go outside without gloves is hand suicide. With my recent phone upgrade to an all touch phone, the need for gloves that accommodate me is a must. So, after my hands melted,I hit the Internet to find just that. I found a website www.nextag.com and found a plethora of different colors in cotton and leather. How these things work is beyond me,all I know is whoever made these is genius! The price range is about $30.00 to $35.00 which isn't bad at considering what they do. There is also another website www.180s.com,they have some hot ones too from $40.00-$80.00.I don't know if you have an IPad, touch, phone or like me the Evo,but in this weather, these are a must!
Look of Day Kim K
Kim K rocked this hip hugging jersey knit dress with front draping and a silk belt to complete the look. She keeps the makeup and jewelry minimized with a side sweep hairdo. This proves less is more sometimes when your a natural beauty like her. She works hard but manages to look fab along the way! Go girl!

Shoe of the Day
This stupid hot Guiseppe is my pick for the day. If money were no object,I'd gladly drop the 1580.00 that these would run ya. Oh and if you act now, they are on "sale" for 1264.00! Gotta laugh to keep from crying right? At any rate, lets just marvel at the crystal studded detailing, buckles, rich camel color and overall fierceness of this 4 inch stunner! FIERCE OVERLOAD!!!

4 Reasons to Love Winter
I know that at times like this we cant wait for the weather to break so that we can have some release from this brutal cold. While Fall is my favorite time of year, winter is a different story. I dread getting gas, going to the store etc... Well ladies, I want to try and give you 4 reasons why you may wanna look forward to braving that horrible hawk outside...
Scarves
These wear a staple in my grandmothers wardrobe and upon her passing, I inherited most of them. Lucky me!! She had classic style that was always noticed and mimicked. To keep her legacy alive, I like to incorporate these into my style one way or the other ALL the time. Now most of my grandmothers scarves are silk so I like to tie them around my neck is the most obvious use.You can check out YouTube to find out different ways to do this. But also I tie them around my head as headbands, also I tie them on the handles of my purses to add flair. For longer scarves you can use as belts as well.
Faux Fur
This is a cheap way to look like you spent a grip! The hottest trend with this material is in the form of vest. They come in a variety of colors and thickness but I like to go with a multi colored one that can be worn multiple ways. You can wear a totally solid color up under, for instance black skinny jeans and a long sleeve black v-neck top and you favorite over the knee boots or booties, throw that vest on,and your ready. Stack on some bracelets, add a metallic belt and your in their like swimwear. You can also top the vest over a sheath or A-line style dress with tights and booties as well and that's it. This is a stand alone statement piece,so no need to go all out with lots of accessories or other busy prints.
Boots
This is a no brainer for anyone who knows anything about fashion. Boots have made huge strides over the years and have evolved to a must have for any and everybody. Every woman should own a pair of knee boots, booties, wedge boot, flat boots as well as some comfy ones with a lil fur. I advise against petite women wearing calf lenght boots because it cuts you off and makes you look even more short. Go for either a bootie with matching tights,or a long knee or over the knee boot. Tall women can do whatever cause you have the legs for it. Lucky You! A variety of colors is key to make sure you don't wear out your basic black and brown. Camel or Cognac, grey, leopard, and different variations of brown should cover your wardrobe. With you basic blacks and browns, vary your selections with suede's,leathers, zippers.
Sweaters
For full figured body types, go for V-neck,scoop necks or anything that opens up your neckline. Turtlenecks are a No No, they just make you look fuller! If going with stripes, choose small ones as opposed to big ones. Cashmere is obviously the most luxurious but if not a big spender, go for a rich wool that feels good up against your skin that can withstand a few washes. Line dry for best results. Keep a lint roller on deck to keep it looking sharp and clean.
Coats
Trench coats are a necessity that never go out of style and can be worn weather its raining or not. Wool or your standard cotton are both okay. Pea coats in navy blue, slate grey and classic black are versatile that work for all age groups from teens to senior citizens. Double breasted work for slender figures and single breasted for curvy women. Leather jackets are most popular right through here in the motorcycle, rocker look with zippers. Think Michael Jackson Beat It days. Try either the black or the cognac color.
I hope I have given you a reason to have a little sunshine through all this stupid cold weather and that if you haven't, make the needed adjustments to find your staples and necessities to make this winter a to shine in!

Look of the Day Halle Berry
Its good to be Halle Berry boy I tell ya! This chick never fails! Here she rocks a pinned stripped pant suit with an iridescent multicolored silk blouse up under. She adds dimension to the look by adding a wide gold necklace and leopard hobo style bag. This menswear look is feminized by adding darts at the waist of the jacket, minimal gold jewelry, and slight exposure of cleave! I'll be sure to send my prayers up tonight that I look half as hot at 44 years old. FIERCE!

AMA'S Best Dressed
It comes as no surprise as whom was my best dressed for the night. My girl Rih Rih hit the red capret in a FIERCE Elie Saab gown that matched her toned down curly red hair. This girl rarely fails me with her fashion choices!
Other winners of the night were Keri Hilson in a sleek black croc printed mini with a sexy open back. The blonde hair is growing on me for her. Taylor Swift put on her big girl underwear for a change by totally revamping her whole look. Not only did she press out the hair and added a bang, she wore a studded Collette Dinnigan mini with Jimmy Choos. Head turning to say the least. Fergie pulled the feather trend off to perfection in a electric blue number by Falguni. She really knows what works for her,she rarel has an off night. Another tween coming out her shell is Mylie Cyrus. I'm typically not a fan of her choices but last night she swayed me. She wore a winter white Marchesa mini with this uber glamorous flowing train, with an over sized bow on the back that looked both age appropriate and fun! She finished it off with a stupid hot pair of Christian Louboutin heels that completed the look. Jenny McCarthy looked ready to party in a shiny one shoulder Stella McCartney leopard print dress that I was thoroughly impressed with. Two thumbs up to all the ladies(and their stylist) for working magic for this read carpet.
DAPPER!!
No Nicki!!
Umm hmmm.... I like!
THERE IS A GOD!!!

Shoe of the Day
Roberto Cavalli's brand just oozes sexiness to me. To wear this line is to be confident and comfortable in your own skin and know your the sugar honey iced tea! If money were no object, might I suggest this hot number to shimmy the night away in and turn heads all at once. This boot has lots of movement with its metallic fringes and demands attention. The price tag on these babies is a HAUTE 1300.00! Yeah I know...its nice to daydream....

Holiday Parties Express Edition
With Holiday parties and company gatherings about to get into full swing, I wanted to focus on one of my most favorite places to shop Express. This store has been my go to spot for over 10 years for the perfect slack ,sweater, and everything in between. So its no surprise that this store is the focus of where to get the most up to date hot looks for the season.
When you think holiday parties, sparkle, satins and sequins are the first looks we gravitate towards. There festive, fun and very appropriate for the occasion. Those looks transcend all age ranges when worn properly. For the young twenty somethings, short sequins mini's and tunics with thick leggings are the way to go. For the thirty something age range, the sequins sheath dress or the sparkly tank with the shrunken blazer and satin pencil skirt is a fab look that turns heads. Oh yeah and once the drinks start flowin, shed that blazer and hit the dance floor and get it poppin! For my seasoned fashionistas in their 40's and 50's opt for a classic cut v-neck dress in a festive color like red, silver or you cant go wrong with black. Cover your arms with a sequins bolero or cardigan to add some jazz to your look. Stack some stretchable bracelets on both arms and add some sparkle to your ears to bring the attention towards your eyes.
With your makeup, I love a red lip especially during the holidays but if that's your for tee, keep the eyes simple. Likewise if you smoke your eye out with a charcoal grey or a slate, give you lips a glossy shine with a natural, understated tone that gives that "come hither"look.
The holidays are an especially fun time to enjoy your family and coworkers so make the best of it and look your best without breaking the bank by hitting up my spot Express.
Below are some looks that I pulled from their website that I mentioned above....get inspired!!!

Shoe of the Day
Shoes are undoubtedly my weakness and as I surfed the web looking for something to make my heart skip a beat while also being wayy out of my price range I stumbled upon a SICK Alexander McQueen that did just that. Its the Faithful Boot. They come in a variety of colors with different twist to them, but this particular one made my insides tingle. With good purpose too, with a price tag of 1285.00 they better talk to me and keep me warm at night! One day is all I have to say...one day....*day dreamin*

Glamour 2010 Women of the Year Awards
Last night the red carpet dazzled with women of all shapes and sizes last night for this event that took place at Carnegie Hall. This is a very stellar and distinguished event that honors some of the ground breakers and humanitarians that are making a difference. Everyone from newcomers like Janelle Monae, who rocked in her all black ensemble with cape to cap off the look to Gayle King, who looked bright and punchy in an ombre style, A-Line knee lenght dress. Fergie look sizzling in an off the shoulder full lenght slim fitting dress with a killer split that held her in all the right places. Oh yeah and Beverly Johnson still has it going on in a major way might I mention! My favorite look of the night was from Wendy Murdoch who wore a one shoulder red satin dress that had a long sleeve with a beautiful Asian print. She finished the look with a side swept hair do and a bright red lip. Check out her and some of the other stunners of the night. Fierce Overload!

Fashion for EveryBODY Show
Day four of Nashville Fashion Week brought us out for a very worthy cause. Yes it was a fashion show that had a line up of real sized Role models of the city, but it also showed us that you don't have to be a zero to look fierce. This event was to benefit the Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee and they have been pulling off this event since 2003. The event came equipped with a pink carpet that everyone rocked including musical talent Katie Armiget and host of the event, Shane Tallant from HGTV and Oxygen Network. The range of models went from tall, short, full figured, slim and pregnant. MEPRagency's own Kia even worked the runway.
Vitamin Water sponsored the event and the whole set up was super cool with bottles of water on every chair. There was also both a live and silent auction that included trips to Hawaii, spa treatments and artwork. Faith and Tim McGraw also auctioned off a guitar which was cool. I love covering events that are for a good cause with a fashion spin on it an this one was no exception! Fun Times!
