Kate Middelton in Alexander McQueen

The wait is over and the royal ceremony went off without a hitch!! Yay! The world waited for this day for months with great anticipation of what designer she would wear and how she would look. After months of speculation, she emerged in the late, great Alexander McQueen. McQueen, typically known for his over the top and deliberately exuberant looks made the bride look soft and elegant in a silk gown with 8 foot train and lace sleeves.Her look was topped with a vale that she wore on the ride over all the way up til the time the Prince lifted it. Awww beautiful! She was totally beautiful. Her ode to the late designer speaks to her sentimental side as well. One can help but wonder what Prince's Diana would have thought of her daughter in laws choice in gown?

The Hats of the Royal Wedding

So all the attention of the world is on England as the Royal Wedding took place this morning. Some woke up at the crack of dawn to watch it live,while others like myself,woke up to it. Either or, Kate was a vision in Alexander McQueen and the Prince looked just as dashing. What could not be missed by the guest that attended were the over the top hats! This was clearly a competition as to whom could out do who, and I loved it all! Some were totally ridiculous while some were ravishing! Take a look at some of my favorite looks! Spring 2011 Trend Alert: Bold Colors

Although we aren't in the clear with this weather, it is however Spring time none the less. With that being said, I want to gush about my favorite trend for the season, BOLD colors!!! I love this trend because this is your chance to run wild with endless opportunities. Think of all of your favorite Crayola colors as a child and channel those color combos with this trend. I would say to limit your combinations to about three, but that is plenty when mixing bright colors. Think bright pinks, electric blues, yellow, purple and anything in between as long as you make sure pastels take a back seat this go round. Keep your makeup, shoes and purses muted as these colors are the focal point of the ensemble. The first look that comes to mind with this trend is a high waist linen short that hits right above the knee in an electric blue, paired with a sleeveless yellow chiffon blouse with a red blazer. Nude peep toe pumps, and your in there like swimwear! That's just one of the many ways to pull this off. The Carter's Paris Rendezvous

So while we battle the ups and downs of the weather and go about our normal lives,the Carters are showing us the benefits of hard work. The first couple of Hip Hop spent the week in Paris both working and enjoying the sights. They stayed in a hotel that cost 20,000 a night and dined at the best of the best all while looking comfortable and Javafierce approved the whole time. Beyonce was there shooting for her Harpers Bazarr shoot and also reportedly working on her new album with Kanye West.She also took time to go to Disneyland, Mickey Mouse ears and all.They even brought out Julez,their nephew along for some of the good life. Fun times for sure! I think this is the cutest famous couple out there hands down. They even showed some very rare PDA which is hardly ever seen by this duo. So in heart stopping news today...I was browsing over some of my favorite gossip blogs when I ran across one of my favs, Necole Bitchie. She had a picture of Eva the Diva in a stoopid hot pair of boots by Tome Ford. These come from his coveted and ever so privately displayed Spring/Summer 2011 line. These babies are gonna set you back a cool $5,200.00 bucks! I know right! Upon first glance you would think she had on fishnets,but its not til you take a closer look that your in for a real treat. They are over the knee,peep toes! Tome Ford, I would kiss you if you were next to me,if your in to that I mean. lol

I was so honored to be a part of this ground breaking event and I look forward to next years Nashville Fashion Week being bigger and better. NFW Day 5 Steven OO

This designer was the clear winner in my book for the final night of NFW. This designer got the loudest response from the crowd with absolutely fabulous Fall/Winter looks in rich materials and various cuts. The opening piece,a grey wool,knee length dress with overly exaggerated dolmain sleeves was my FAV. Not to mention,this particular model has done her thing on the runways all week. She is definitely in the right field. Any who,the color palate was that of grey and black overall which also included outerwear. With this designer majoring in college in political economy from Berkley for God's sake,I'm so proud this designer made the career change to fashion as this world is truly a better place for it!
