NFW Day 2 Gado Gado

I was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous looks that hit us from the designer Belinda Kazanci for Gado Gado for day two of NFW. The influence is clearly that of an international theme with prints and patterns that are very luxurious as if they came from the other side of the world....Bali if you will. The bold color combos like the black and white, green and black, also paired with rich reds, yellows and purples, this line hit on everyones style palate. The collection was rounded out with floor length formal dresses in natural colored liquid metallic and stark white with a long black belt as an accent.FAB! One shoulder look with long colorful fringe was clearly the trend that she stuck with which I happen to love. She played with all different lengths that work for all types of events from formal, party style and day time mixers. There was something for every fierce woman not afraid to play with color and patterns and dare to turn heads. Mines turned all night long! Check out my top favs!

NFW Day 2 Betsey Johnson

This was by far one of the shows that I awaited with great expectation for and believe you me, I was not disappointed! The show was all that you would expect from Betsy Johnson. It was fun, lively and full of a wonderful youthful spirit. The looks were her classic bright pinks, blues, purples and all pastels in between. she dazzled with stripes, florals and all patterns in between. My favorite look was a bubble gum pink party dress with a sweetheart neckline and super full tulle skirt that hit right at the knee. Another favorite was the cardigan, pants and dresses with different color and types of guns! Yeah I know, but it was super dope! The models clearly had fun with this show by hitting the end of the runway and ending with fun poses like kisses to the crowd or a flip of their dresses. Lots of tulle, big skirts, and whimsical prints decorated the runway. The music was upbeat and fun and the crowd was totally into the whole experience. Despite the frigid cold that we had to suffer through, the looks were red hot and fulfilled all my desires! Only thing missing was Betsey herself turning flips down the frigid 40 degree Arcade runway...maybe it was the weather that kept her in?

NFW Day 1 Sylvia Heisel

Very artistic almost futuristic looks with black and white combos were some of the trends and focal points that Sylvia Heisel runway last night. The model strutted the runway with multiple purses on one hand making this collection very memorable. Formal wear in the form of a raw silk bright red gown added dimension to the line as well as plunging necklines sheer tops adding a hint of sex appeal. The wow factor for me were the lace sunglasses the models rocked. Don't know if they are for day to day but Fierce non the less. Sophistication, glamour and sexiness were all some of the looks that Sylvia Heisel brought to Music City! Check it out!

NFW Day 1 Loretta Jane

The Loretta Jane line got its name by the designers two grandmothers so this collection in a whole must hold a special place in her heart. Rightfully so,this line had very ladylike high waist peplum skirts, floral prints, deep v-necks, flowy tunics and lots of looks that I can see the ladies of Nashville trekking around in. Maybe that's due to this designer got her start right here in Nashville working with a local designer out of college. Realizing her true passion she stepped out on her own to start her own line in 2008 and if I may so,that was one smart move! I couldn't help but notice the stand out relatability this line has for day to day women who want to remain FIERCE! If that's your goal, this line is a step in that direction. Its fun and youthful but also has a sophistication that the more mature woman can appreciate as well. Who says stepping out on faith and following your heart doesn't pay off....sure did for her!
